Q:  Which fabrics and garments can I clean and freshen with Clorox™ FreshCare™ Dry Clean and Gentle Fabric Cleaning?

A:  Cotton/polyester blends, synthetic blends, wool, silk, rayon and other special care fabrics you would normally send to a commercial dry cleaner, along with hand-washables such as sweaters, washable silks and small household linens. Also, dry-cleanable cushion covers, lightweight drapes, bedding such as bedcovers/comforters, small blankets/throws and other household items that will fit loosely into the FreshCare™ Dryer Bag.

Q:  What if a stubborn stain is still visible after spot removal?

A:  Repeat the Stain Removal process, then proceed with in-dryer cleaning. This will not set the stain. For extremely resistant spots and stains, send the item to a commercial dry cleaner.

Q:  What care labels can I use in combination with FreshCare™?

A:  FreshCare™ cleans and freshens a wide variety of garment care labels such as Dry Clean Only, 100% Silk, 100% Wool, Hand Wash Cold and other gentle fabric blend labels.

Q:  What if my dryer is hotter or cooler than average?

A:  Clothes should come out of the Dryer Bag slightly damp after 30 minutes on medium or high setting. If garments are excessively damp, increase the dryer time by 5 minutes. If garments are too dry, decrease the dryer time by 5 minutes.

Q:  What can I do to reduce wrinkling?

A:  You can help avoid ironing many items by following these tips: Always hang or fold your special care garments; never pile them with other dirty or damp clothes prior to cleaning. Fasten, zip or button clothes before inserting them into the Dryer Bag, and leave room in the Bag for items to tumble freely. As soon as the dryer stops, remove and hang the items.

Q:  Which items should always go to a commercial dry cleaner?

A:  Any garment with a stubborn or large stain, garments made of leather, velvet, suede or fur, and bulky items too large for the Dryer Bag. Dress shirts wrinkle easily and are best laundered professionally.

Q:  Is Clorox™ FreshCare™ a replacement for Dry Cleaning?

A:  No. Clorox™ FreshCare™ can help you clean and freshen your clothes in between dry cleaner visits.

Q:  What should I do if a hole develops in my bag or the Velcro© comes loose?

A:  The FreshCare™ system is designed to operate effectively at high dryer settings for all makes of U.S. home dryers. However, if a hole or loose Velcro© occurs, please stop using Clorox™ FreshCare™.

First, check if there are any sharp objects protruding from the dryer door.
Second, check if there are any sharp objects in the dryer bag such as a brooch or pin.
If neither of these options have occurred, the damage to the bag is an indication that your dryer may be operating at too high a temperature. Possible causes range from reduced air flow due to a plugged lint screen or air exhaust hose, to an abnormality in the temperature control system of the dryer. It may be necessary to contact your dryer manufacturer, or local repairperson, for advice.

Q:  My FreshCare™ Bag is good for up to 20 uses but I have only 4 cloths--what do I do to get more cloths?

A:  The Clorox™ FreshCare™ Dry Clean & Gentle Fabric Cleaning Refill Kit contains an additional 6 cloths you can use with your reusable bag. Or, if you need any other components, another standard kit containing all components are sold wherever refill kits are available.

Q:  What do I do if I see a ring or watermark after I've removed a stain with the Stain Remover?

A:  If the ring is a result of the stain leaching out with the stain removal solution, reapply the stain removal solution on the ring. If it is a watermark, take a clean towel and place it under the watermark and dab it with another clean, slightly moist towel. If this does not work, consult a commercial dry cleaner.
