Q:  Can I use FreshCare® in my garbage can?

A:  FreshCare® Fabric Refresher was developed to restore freshness to fabrics and clothing. While there is certainly no harm in using FreshCare® Fabric Refresher in one's garbage can, this product was not intended for this application. More suitable products worth considering for use in a garbage can are Glad® Odor Shield™ trash bags or Clorox® Disinfectant Spray (now available in 3 scents).

Q:  Can I use FreshCare® in my refrigerator?

A:  No. We do not recommend using FreshCare® Fabric Refresher in a refrigerator. FreshCare® Fabric Refresher was developed to restore freshness to fabrics and clothing. One's best bet to contend with refrigerator malodors is to remove old or expired food items and clean one's refrigerator periodically. A box of baking soda is also quite effective at reducing refrigerator odors.

Q:  Can I use FreshCare® on my cat's litter box?

A:  Yes. While FreshCare® Fabric Refresher was developed with the restoration of freshness to fabrics and clothing in mind, it is also effective in reducing litter box odors. When using in a litter box, remove cat from vicinity, spray surface until slightly damp and allow product to ventilate and dry before pet use. Scoop Away® and Fresh Step® both produce litters that are also good for odor elimination.

Q:  Can I use FreshCare® on my hardwood floors?

A:  No. We do not recommend using FreshCare® Fabric Refresher on hardwood floors. FreshCare® Fabric Refresher was developed to restore freshness to fabrics and clothing not for hard surface use.

Q:  Can I use FreshCare® on baby toys?

A:  No. While FreshCare® Fabric Refresher is safe to use on virtually all fabrics and has been determined to be safe to use around humans and pets, we do not recommend that items which may end up in a baby's mouth be treated with FreshCare®.

Q:  Can I use FreshCare® on Leather or Velvet?

A:  Take caution as these fabrics may waterspot. First spray an unseen area of the fabric with FreshCare®. If no waterspotting occurs, feel free to continue to use the product.

Q:  Can I use FreshCare® on my pet?

A:  No. You can spray items that your pet uses, such as pet beds or pet blankets, to help eliminate odors, but please avoid spraying the pet directly. We further recommend that you remove all pets from the area being treated until the product has dried. It is also recommended that if spraying within close proximity of fish tanks, they be covered. As with all airborne sprays, mists and foggers, use with adequate ventilation.

Q:  Can I use FreshCare® on shoes?

A:  Yes. FreshCare® Fabric Refresher can be used on shoes particularly the inside. If spraying the outside of the shoe, first test an inconspicuous area to check for waterspotting. If no water spotting occurs, continue to use FreshCare®.

Q:  How long does the FreshCare® smell last?

A:  The FreshCare® fragrance will fade as the product dries and over time.

Q:  How long will the odor stay gone after I've used FreshCare®?

A:  Odors will be eliminated from fabrics treated with FreshCare® Fabric Refresher indefinitely or until the fabric is reexposed to odors.

Q:  How often should I use FreshCare®?

A:  FreshCare® Fabric Refresher may be used as often as desired and whenever offensive odors present themselves. Remember, it is always a good practice to test an inconspicuous portion of the fabric first as some items may water-spot.

Q:  Will FreshCare® remove colors from fabrics?

A:  FreshCare® is safe to use on virtually all fabrics and is color safe. However, to be extra sure, test an unseen area of the item (particularly fabrics such as leather, silk, rayon) first.
